Hi Guys, new to the forum so hello. I am looking to purchase a trolling motor. Its for my 4.2m quintrex boat that i use in salt water estuaries. I have looked at the 64lb WATERSNAKE GPS ELECTRIC MOTOR GEO SPOT BOW MOUNT as i want a trolling motor with GPS , anchor mode , remote control etc. I will be spinning and flyfishing of my boat so the trolling motor needs to be SALT water ready have GPS, anchor mode, remote control etc so the Geo spot sounds like a great option?

I contacted Bass.co.za however they only expect stock of the GEO units end Sept?

My questions are :
1. Are watersnake motors any good or should i rather look at another manufactorer such as Motorguide etc? If so why?
2. Where is the best place to get pricing on trolling motors in SA?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
I believe Minn Kota to have saltwater models.

You can get in touch with Varkenelli Customs the importer of Minn Kota in South Africa

Hi Navrik thank you for the feedback. Are the watersnake motors any good?
I have no idea that the quality is like. Most of the bigger bass boats use either Minn Kota or Motorguide and more recently Lowrance and Garmin who also entered the trolling motor product lines.

They appear to be more budget orientated but I believe you can get spare parts from them from the local agents.
Thanks for the response
