Rules and Regulations
If fishing from a boat or land catch must be photographed whilst being
weighed. Please make sure the weight is displayed as clearly as possible. If
fishing from a float tube the fish does not need to be photographed while being
weighed but you must try hard to get the picture anyway...
Only digital scale are allowed to be used for weighing fish. No spring scales
may be used.
Must be caught by Artificial Lure only. No live bait, this includes already
hooked fish.
Strolling/Trolling has a category but is not encouraged by BFSA.
The fish must be released alive and well. Fish that die do not count no
matter what the circumstances.
The following information must be submitted
- Anglers full names and contact details
- Witness full names and contact details
- Line manufacturer and line breaking strain as well as lure.
- Location Caught
- Date
- Weight of the fish
