Hey guys. .
Been finally getting some bass action again amongst my local fishing holes ..
Nice top water takes on frogs n lizards along the top of the lilly banks. ..been awhile since the fish have woken up down the eastern cape side for myself so very happy to be back on!

Hope everyone manages to do the same where ever you are and remember why we love bass fishing so much..bass don't bite on politics...haha

A little activity? Posted by: Jim_From_Zim - 01-16-2018, 12:36 PM - Forum: Bass Fishing In General - Replies (32)

Seem as though there's hardly any activity on this site lately, why dont we kick it off with something different?

Myself and a friend of mine catching some fish recently.

A ned rig did the work for me and a 10ft crank for him. All 3 were on first casts on different spots

Beginner at bass fishing from a boat Posted by: BassRoux - 01-07-2018, 04:20 PM - Forum: Bass Fishing In General - Replies (20)

Hi guys so I have recently modified our bowrider boat to be more bass friendly with a deck upfront and a foot controlled trolling motor, yesterday was my first time on the water fishing for bass from a boat. Fishing from boat compared to the bank feels like worlds apart. My question is at what depts do you fish and what stucture do you fish relative to conditions? I managed a few fish but feel “unproductive” Just a few pointers in the right direction would help. Smile

Good day everyone

I'm new to the Bass Fishing site. I live in the Johannesburg area and love fishing in general. I favor the artificial lure part of fishing more than the bait part.

I hope I will be able to pick up some tips on here from some of you guys, and hopefully be able to share some as well.

Thanks.

Safe travels, and may Santa bring you the piggie you've been wishing for

where all the good bass fisherman go Posted by: earlyworm - 12-21-2017, 06:58 AM - Forum: Eastern Cape - Replies (2)

Hi guys..first post on the new site. ..
Super excited to be back online...New site is a lil challenging to navigate and find your way around but it's all good..just my 5c opinion so dont take it to heart anyone please Smile

Right so the fishing has been quite slow with the weather been the main factor and the water temps still cold..needless to say I finally stop my blanking streak and had a smasher 5 fish haul in just 1 hour last week..

Nothing major to write home about but enough to replenish my stoke levels and share my news with like minded individuals. ..

Keep casting and keep posting..
Long live bass fishing

Hey all,

Was pretty involved in bass fishing in high school (Classics, Nationals, all that) but fell out of it when I moved to Cape Town.

Looking to get back into the sport so the rods are coming out the garage this weekend and getting prepped for the holidays Smile

Howzit fellow bassers!

Hope all is well... I recently moved from CT to Vereeniging of all places... Not completely new to the site, used to be part of the Kick boat comps down in CT.

Anybody from the Vaal that can guide me to some Kickboat spots...

Tight lines to all.
