Namibian fisherman keen to fish in Cape Town area

Hi there,
I am based in Stellenbosch and picked up freshwater fishing after a long while last year. I have been lurking on this site but thought it was time to sign up and introduce myself.
I am from Namibia and am mostly a saltwater fisherman (kabeljou, etc.), but I did my fair share of carp and bass fishing when I was younger.
Over the last couple of months I caught a bass at a little dam in Onderpapagaaiberg in Stellenbosch, one at the Croc farm, one at Vygeboom dam in Durbanville, and I tried my luck to catch one of the monster Tilapia at Eikendal, but they showed absolutely no interest in bread, corn, or peas. But I rate I saw about 20 massive Tilapia and one brute of a carp just chilling.
But yeah. I am pretty much open to any suggestions for decent shore bass fishing in the general Cape Town area. I do not own a float tube or a kayak, so shore fishing is all I can do. And if anyone has any suggestions for some sea fishing as well please shout.
Nice to meet you all and I hope bass fishing will be revived in these parts soon.

Nice first post

Bank bashing in and around the surrounds of the fairer cape, you will just have to wing it - so to speak. 

Most of the ponds are quite protected ( by the local security in the area, or the feds) so just rocking up and wetting a line cant always work. 
It is possible sometimes... Like hitting an un-named waterfront office park in the northern 'burbs between 4am and 5am to get your fix of fishing. 
But Stellies has more ponds than most of the other area's, so a little research on the maps will give you some idea's where to go. 

Check for the local tackle shops in and around CT, then make friends with these guys as they could give you some pointers where to go. 

And if you save up your beer coupons for a tube you'll have a lot more ponds to go fish in, especially if you join the KBT

Un-named waterpark ? Is this the one close to the un-named sports ground/athletics stadium. If so ive never been able to fish there for longer than 10 mins before being chased away.

But if you try in the eeeeeeaaaarrrrlllllyyyyy hours of the morning, you might get a little longer than 10min at a time...

Duly noted...Water is super clear, so weightless senko's and swimbaits are probably the go to?

I'd go with square bills and senkos. 

At 4 in the morning colours dont really matter too much

I could swear there are more spam posts than member posts...

And how is it that the site owner lets this happen? I mean, fark, my post box on the front wall of my house gets less spam leaflets than this site.
