I need someone to come show me to fish - Waldo Booyens - 09-12-2016 Hallo me and my brother got a bass boat not the biggest or the best one. We have the voat for about 2 years now and our bass that we caught is 5 and 5 small ones. If its possible can someone that is experienced come help us PLEASE. I started fishing from the bank which was good training as it forced me to fish one area thoroughly. When you on the water just ask a few grey haired ballies :blue-biggrin: for a bit of advise. I find they normally more than willing to pass the knowledge on. There is no teacher like time on the water. Good luck. Bass fishing can be quite frustrating........agreed. The other option is to join a bass club whether serious or social anglers and get in on the sharing and caring action. That aside, there is a lot of info out there on the basics of getting started and understanding the fish itself. Good luck. Sometimes ask others on the dam that you are fishing if you can try pick up some tips. Would they mind if you watched what they do and where they fish. What baits they use, rigs etc. Re: I need someone to come show me to fish - bushpilot2 - 09-19-2016 one other thing is to learn bass behaviour.....when they do what, time of day, how weather changes effect them.....ect. Also where they are likely to be found, with the lack of a fish finder it is very difficult to "see" underwater spots that bass gravitate to, but with visible cover/structure it will with time on the water teach you what spots a bass is highly likely to be hiding in. Best times to fish is just before the sun comes up and as it sets.....as this is the time they are the most active...... best of luck
