Seem as though there's hardly any activity on this site lately, why dont we kick it off with something different? 

Myself and a friend of mine catching some fish recently. 

A ned rig did the work for me and a 10ft crank for him. All 3 were on first casts on different spots

I have not been keeping abreast with all the latest tackle developments - what exactly is a 'Ned Rig'?

Essentially 1/2 a senko on a very light jig head.

It would be nice to get the site active again but all my queries have just been ignored.
So you tend to just ignore the site and don't feel part of the community that was developed on the old site.
The other thing is I'm guessing most of us don't really know how this forum works.

Like Toadee said... But the worm is a floating worm.

Same diffs, except a senko doesn't float. 

The trick with the ned rig is to get it to stand straight up on the bottom of the pond, hence the zman TRD wormy

But yes, half a worm will be better than none at all... as my madam says  Big Grin

We had a club outing at Wriggleswade this past weekend.

I only managed 4 fish for the Saturday and 3 on Sunday but managed to land a 2.465 and a 1.645

Lipless crank was on FIRE saturday - so much so that i had to put it in the water to cool it off Tongue


Also managed to lose another decent 2,5kilo fish at the riprap also on a lipless - came out of the water like you see in the US adverts - flared its gills, shook its head, said "this is yours" and spat my lure back at me! Angry

Nice to see some activity on the site again.

Ditto on what Rip said. This past year has been good to me. Managed my best ever finish in a Classic (6th) and so far managed to get up to a 4th in a regional even.


And  a new smallie PB. Luckily I left some room for improvement so with the way Clanwilliam is fishing lately I might even be able to improve on that real soon.

As a matter of fact I actually broke my smallie PB twice last year with my second largest one (both in regionals) both responsible for a bit of a refund on the cost of fishing expenses.
