Hi All

I have recently moved from Natal to Pretoria and would like to know where some good bass destinations are in the Gauteng area. I am more of a social angler and prefer bass destinations with good security and large quantities of bass as to make fishing easier and more enjoyable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ashley, do you have a float tube or inflatable boat? If you do then you have a few more options.
If you do have then you must make a trip to Bass Lake (there are monsters in that dam). <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.basslake.co.za/">http://www.basslake.co.za/</a><!-- m -->
If you dont mind driving far then Boskop just outside Potch is a good option. No main motors allowed there aswell so you are safe on the tube or inflatable but beware the wind does pick up from nowhere.
Also try Exclusive Bass Angling

There are loads of little dams around Pta and Jhb and surrounds for you to fish, Im sure if you talk to the guys at your local tackle shop they will know of a few places.
