Hi all my son is 9 and obsessed with fishing seeing that I am not a fisherman at all. I would like for him to be part of a club environment to learn from people in the know and then to fish with other youngsters. Thanks

I think its very important when requesting info like this one needs to advise and be advised of a few things.

1. Where you and the junior are.
2. Would this be social or would you be wanting him to join a club. If the latter is the case would you be available to help transport him and other juniors to dams.
3. Do you have or are you thinking of putting him in a tube, canoe or something of the sort.
4. What level of fishing has he/she done as I'm sure chucking a junior in in the deep end might be overwhelming and if he starts getting blanks the level of enthusiasm will take a big hit.

This sport unfortunately can turn into a bit of a big game and unless its walking around a dam it gets quite involved. The days of dropping a youngster at the local dam, you doing your thing and coming back are years past.

Not trying to rain or wet the mood just putting what I can think of might be important. I'm sure there will be more others will think of.
