Bass fishing in CPT

Hi guys, I'm new here and took my son fishing for the first time, although we caught nothing using an antique wooden rod and a kiddies rod reel, we had fun learning how to reel and caste. Might I say it's both of our first time. Where in Cape Town is a good spot to actually catch bass in the nothern suburbs?

Hillcrest out on Tygervalley Road allows day visitors for bass fishing.

You can also try Doordekraal but I know a special permit is required to fish there.
