The much faster route to the big show (i.e. the US) that FLW offers is the biggest draw card for me (not that I have a realistic hope in hell :blue-smile: ).

As we all know the Water levels are a big problem not only in the Western Cape but in other parts of SA too. This leaves us with limited water to fish in the Western Cape basically 3 venues. The only way the FLW was gonna work in WC was if we replaced it with the MT which is what we have done. Guys please note I have been chatting Billy and Brandin about this topic for quite some time now and I was happy to return home and run the FLW.
It wasn't an easy decision but at the end of the day I do believe its better for the sport and gives the anglers in the WC a shot as well. Not sure you about the rest but I reckon its every anglers dream to participate in a USA comp and now us anglers in the Cape have that chance.
Please note I have no intentions in causing any conflict with SABAA or interfering with their dates and venues. The best way is if we all agree together and stay on the same page when discussing dates and venues as I can change them if need be.
So if anyone feels certain dates or venues need to be changed please let me know.
This is great news Andy. All the best with the huge and exciting task at hand.
There will always be guys that has the time and resources to do both and it would be good not to exclude any of those anglers just like WCBAA Divisionals and BFSA MT's have been running side by side for years without any conflicting dates.
At least we have some rain falling here today in the Western Cape which hopefully will have a small impact on our already strained water levels.
Yeah but I am sure everyone will understand with the state of the Western Cape dams we all need to help each other out. The dams will just be too low in May and June I believe.
The Gauteng and Mpumalanga regions share water on three different dams I believe.
I would suggest 27-30 April for the W Cape comp that way guys have two travel days and a back to back tournament.
Morning guys. If venue changes are considered I would start by checking with the Division, Province and local clubs as to the availability of the venue as well as the local resort for any accommodation clashes.
I see the FLW tour comp time is 7:30 till 15:00. Could this be changed to our normal times i.e. 07:00 till 16:00? Just a but short in my opinion.
Would the prizes be determined by the amount of boat entries on the day?
I'm very sad about the cancelation of the MT.. Specially with the braais the night before we all became like family..
However if we could treat it the same and basically just continue on I suppose it won't make much diff apart from the increase in entrance fee.
Thanks
Howzit Juba.
Firstly, Thanks fro this always nice to hear feedback, suggestions ect.
Ill chat to Hannes tmrw regarding the times it does make a lot more sense.
Yes, prizes will be determined by entries.
Guys, Im gonna put all my effort into the FLW as this is why I have resigned from my position in Cyprus and returning home.
I would hate for the MT family and Vibe to come too an end so I will try my utmost best to make sure it continues for all the anglers. Ill personally braai for everyone. LOL. Who knows I might even sponsor some beers for the evening as it will be my first time meeting most of you.
At the end of the day I just you the anglers to have a well run comp and lots fun whilst having an opportunity to compete in the USA.
8 hours is the standard competition length across the pond. If I recall correctly the extra hour was snuck in for a Clan competition a couple of years back when some loud, and insistent, people had found a bite that woke up late in the day (I can't recall if they won :blue-badgrin.
Most importantly it means we're home before the roads are filled with "relaxed" farm workers. I'm looking at you Vyeboom :blue-evil:

I dont see the need to shorten the days. maybe even first safe light till 16:00? I would hate to sit and watch that golden hour pass in the summer days.
