Sterkfontein Dam

Hope you well. Pls can anyone give me some lure advise to use for Bass from the boat at Sterkfontein dam,and if possible a few places to start fishing at.

I have only been there once before.

Crystal clear water so fishing for bass is not that easy. I finally mange to get some bass using a jig fishing straight up and down aka drop-shot style directly next to the big grass patches some 30 m from the edges.

The place is known for its Yellows and strong (very strong) winds, be very careful. Here's some more reading:

Eish I heard of the Sterkies storms but did not think it would be this bad...

... makes some of our Western Cape storms at Theewaters and Brandvlei look like a walk in the park :blue-shock:

I stayed a night @ Qwantani in July this year on a trip and the management of the resort told me they encourage no release of any bass caught in this pristine yellowfish water.......
Lovely dam though.

Believe my the Yellow fishing is insane, leave your bass gear at home & catch some yellows!

When did you intend fishing there. Bassing is not very easy there. I could give you a few tips if it's not too late.
