Bass fishing spots in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town

Hi, im new to the forum.

Can anybody tell me where is a good place to fish in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town?

Hi Kurt,

Uct Dam, they say you need a permit but just sneak in and fish it, I have done and caught some bass.

The Quarry in vredehoek(top of derry sreet) i have caught some bass, dont fish alone... not 100% safe.

Rutter road in lakeside, some small bass not that amaizing..

Little pricess vlei is apparently also good but quite dodgy with gangsters hanging around..

Smiley,you see why I live in the Northern suburbs....besides the fact that the roads were made in the day of the ox wagon,so the roads are wide,but we do not have the type of 'unsafeness' that you mention...northern folk have a policy...called shoot to kill..! :blue-shock: Unfortunately the best fishing in the southern suburbs of cape town if off cape point for tuna .

ha ha ha!! Northern suburbs does have its advantages.. Its also closer to the main dams.. I could definitely see myself blending in with my doublecab... People in the city think im mad!!

Smurf...why is it you need a passport to get thro to the northern suburbs, and as for the ox wagon...NOTHING as changed much over your side anyway....Lots of guys still riding the odd wagon or even a motorbike..... :blue-rolleyes: :blue-biggrin: :blue-biggrin:

No passport required...just a passion for brandy and wors by the fire :blue-biggrin: I must say,old chap...you have really got me onto the gin and tonic thing though. :blue-cool:

Went to the Quarry, nice spot but caught nothing between 3 of us, then went to UCT dam caught nothing so i went to the "pond" in silverglades and pulled out 7 between the 3 of us in 30 minutes..
