Best place to fish for bass from the bank

I grew up in Volskrust and as far as I can remember Wakkerstroom dam had some bass. Caught my first few bass in there.

Volksrust lies on the border between the old Natal, Tvl and Orange Free State. You can literally take a run to KZN and back from there. Border lies just as you drive out of town to my home town of Newcastle.

I grew up catching Yellowfish in the Sandspruit about 14km north of Volksrust and Carp and Modderbekke in Vrede Dam as well as other dams like Amersfoort dam and Schuilhoek.

And then Bass and Carp in Wakkerstroom Dam. Returned to Newcastle in my high school years and then it was bass ina farm dam where my grandparents lived as well as Carp and Scalies in Chelmsford Dam. Also a bit of fishing in the Ncandu river and Amcor dam. And 100's of small bass in the Diary Dam in Newcastle.

Baie oor daai brug gery toe ek 36 jaar gelede na Mrs Ninja gevry het in my army dae. Nooit toe eers gedink aan visvang nie .... net aan vis! :blue-biggrin:

Not sure about the best place but best times would be from Mondays to Fridays. :blue-biggrin:
