Hello,

My name is Fran Myers. I live in Minnesota. I have been practicing a method of fishing called 'Spoonplugging' for about 8 years. While I am sure most of you have probably read some of my posts on bassing.co.za and maybe even some of my articles in Bass Digest the past few months - I just want to say 'Hi'.

I would also like to say that I am coming to South Africa next month. I will be fishing Phobane, Inanda, and Craigie Burn. For the past 6 months I have been shipping fishing equipment, buying a boat, and getting ready for an awesome trip.

If anybody can get away for a few days at any time during my 3 weeks in SA and wants to come and fish with us it, that would be fantastic. I am not selling anything. I will take as many people out for short Spoonplugging demos as I can. In the evening we'll talk fishing and brag up the women. I am even hosting a Briaa at ShakaLand my last day at Phobane.

If anyone is interested please contact me at myersf@comcast.net or Howard Johnson at howard@epic-custom-bass-baits.com

I hope to meet some of you guys.

Welcome Fran, Unfortunately I wont be able to join you guys, but I'm sure you'll be back sooner than you think.
Don't forget, we want full reports on your expeditions.
Most of all, Enjoy the Braai's.
If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend it's whole life believing its stupid!

Welcome Fran. It will be interesting to follow your progress in SA. Keep us updated.
The more I learn about fishing the more I realise
how much more I have to learn about fishing.

Welcome to BFSA as well Fran. I know a lot of guys are eagerly awaiting you trip out here.

A few of us have inter provincial duties at the Vaal river here in South Africa close to you time slot which will prevent us from joining you.

Phobane (or Goedertrouw or just Goedies) is a very special place especially the time of the year you will be visiting. During my trip there last year I managed 2 fish bigger than my PB.

All the best for the last of the arrangements. I am sure the trip will exceed all you expectations in the hands of Howie and other member of the SA Bass Fraternity! Have a safe trip over here and I trust you will love every minute of your stay in SA!
