Rory and others ,

Don't go there. Literally and figuratively. It's an issue no one can agree on 100% , as the others said.In the short term yes , you might get access to "private" water , in the long run you will stuff up the relationship with landowners. And there goes Appletwait ,Mofam , Provost and all the other nice competitions.

Not to mention everyone on this site being the moer in at you.

I know there's been more than one incident at Mofam for example , with guys launching on neighboring farms , and driving their boats into Mofam to fish.

It's not worth being a d..ck just for one or two bass

Yah. The Landrover besides killing the veggies will probably spill a bunch of oil all over. :blue-lol:

@Homer, I don,t understand your argument. If the guy launches at another farm with the owners consent, then he obviously is not trespassing. You further mentioned that this guy then went on and fished at Mofam. I did not know that bass are now land based, or is it only at Mofam? There is no dam or river called Mofam. I have also launched and camped at the neighbour, and I dare anybody to call me names for doing just that.

I understand your argument @CrankbaitCarl. And like I said there are different opinions on the matter. Whatever the dam / river flowing through Mofam is called.

@ Homer, I could'nt care about opinions, I follow the law and people should not lend there ears to those who want to own, but cannot be the owners. I lost a court case against black guys stripping the dam of fish. I should have had them charged for illegal netting instead of tresspassing.
Only the government can decide what sport is allowed on their dams.
NO LANDOWNER can just built a weir in a river and call it his dam! Department of Water Affairs decide on weirs and dam walls. No land owner can pump water unless he has a quota or full permit to do so.
I think landowners bordering dammed up rivers must stop their claims of ownership of the water and concentrate on entrance control to their properties.
I close my case.
