Water needed!!

Well the big rain has come and gone and as predicted most the water has been absorbed by the dry earth. Very little flowed into the dams. From last Monday to this Monday the levels (percentage) changed as follows: TWK 49.1 to 52.4, Voelvlei 39.2 to 39.5 and Berg River Dam 52.1 to 56.8. Clan levels will be available on Tuesday but will probably also only have changed by about 5 percent. The Western Cape has had the driest March/April/May in over 10 years and it shows in the dam levels. WC dams are currently 32% below last years levels. We need LOTS more rain to catch up at this stage. Pray. :eusa_pray:

Dams don't fill in a couple of days... lots of water still flowing from te mountains.... let's hope for more soon...

If a dam is at 9.4% and it then increases to 13.4% in a week, the increase from 9.4 to 13.4 is 4% of the total level and 4% over 9.4% = 43.47%.

I would have called it a 4% increase as the the percentage is based on the full level being 100%. But to each their own I suppose. :roll:
