This document is designed to clarify various responsibilities of community members here at .

The BFSA forums have grown tremendously over the past years and we thank all of you for being a part of this growing community. In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the Staff Members.

Forum rules

Right of admission Reserved

Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.

Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

Members are asked to not act as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team. Only do this if a moderator team member has not replied within 24 hours. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who constantly "act" as moderators may be warned.

Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.

Members should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline () image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.

Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good titles include; "Getting an TABLE FULL error upon login", "Cannot restore a backup", etc.

Members are welcome to use the test forum for general "test purposes". These may include checking signatures, testing a link or image, etc. (subject to previous points on decency, warez, etc.). Users posting in the test forum just to increase their post counts will be warned.

Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes offering hosting services (charged and free), installation services, solicitation etc. Recruiting of any sort (moderators, designers, professional MOD work etc.), be it for paid or unpaid jobs, is not permitted either. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. See specific item on spam and 3rd party linking for more information.

Members are asked to not disclose to any 3rd party, board, or list any vulnerability in BFSA before first notifying the developers or Moderator. You should submit all finds to our Moderators. Time should be allowed for us, at least 3 working days wherever possible, to respond.

No members or non members may share usernames and passwords with anyone else no matter what the circumstances. If you fail to abide by this rule you will be asked to leave the community and the associated account will be disabled. The same applies to family members; family members may not share a single user account.

The moderating, support and other teams of the BFSA Community Forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.

Although the administrators and moderators of the BFSA Community Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. You are responsible for what you post, and what you read. All posts made are the opinions and views of the author and not necessarily those of . BFSA is not responsible for the veracity or validity of any information posted here, nor do we vouch for the authenticity or the identity of any of the posters. BFSA and its representatives will not be held liable for any information or message posted to any discussion forum and disclaims all liability resulting from any action or inaction taken as a result of reading or posting a message in any discussion forum.

Any member found to repeatedly disregard the above rules and regulations can and will have their username and password disabled indefinitely without prior notice.

We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.
