My lure was the best you could buy :blue-biggrin:

Any news yet after day 1?
The amount of news from the compo is staggering! When will competition organisers realise the rest of the country is very interested in their compos! Every compo should have a marketing man! Grrrr...
Can't agree more Rob.

I couldn't agree more with you Rob. Thankfully I got a update a few minutes ago from Pieter.
Breaking news from TWK . . . . . . Not many fish were caught -and the R100k is carried over (does that mean the next comp is R200k?)

and also . . . how was the weight of 3,6kg (I think) decided on? Was it the previous winning weight?

and . . . why is this comp not open to kick boating partners - and for that matter even bank fishing as partners? Obviously the boaters will have an advantage, but it should be my choice if I want to put my money on the table. I'm not saying a comp within a comp. On Saturday I landed 2 of about 1kg and lost one that actually broke my spinner in half. - while a lot of boats blanked.
I doubt if I would have stood a chance to be in line for a prize - but then again, my partner could have landed a few kickers . . . ?
Just putting the idea out there to be pondered.
(No you plonker - boaters can obviously not take part in Kick Boat comps) :eusa_naughty:

and I agree that the lack of reporting about the comp is frustrating

It was gr8 meeting some of you guys and putting faces to the names.
This has been debated before and it was decided that give the kick boaters the opportunity to compete at provincial level off kick boats but separate from the boating comps.

Safety for one would dictate not to mix the 2 disciplines at the same event.

TWK size requirement was 3.85kg minimum to qualify for the R100K. Last year it was 3.5kg and 2 x 3.51kg fish came out and the R100K price money was shared between the 2 anglers.
Thanks Navrik
Yes you are right - the safety aspect would be a concern. Any way it was just a thought.
. . . and I'd hate some oke getting his prop stuffed up by the cooler boxes strung out behind my kicker - 1 for refreshments - 1 for fold out rods and lures and stuff - and 3 floating live wells.
