Morning Breede. I got automotive carpet from Kehl's in Maitland. They also supply a special adhesive for the carpets.

Address: Shop 403, 403 Voortrekker Rd, Maitland, Cape Town, 7405, South Africa

Then I got 5mm foam to go underneath from Sondor foam

Hi Nav.
I'm driving down to CT for the day tomorrow for business and I'm going to pop in at Kehl's for a new carpet for my boat. Would you use their recommended adhesive? How long did you have to leave yours to dry and set?
How much extra should I buy vs. the m2 of the boat? Some say 20% or what?
Thanks boet.

Rippy, there's only 1 person to chat to about carpeting in Cape Town - thats Smurf.

I'll whatsapp you his number. Call and chat to him, he'll advise accordingly to what you need

Sorry Rip. Only saw this now. It was quite a long time ago. Cannot remember how long it took.

How long are you in Cape Town for? It would be cool to catch up.

I'm back home already, with my new carpet I might add!
They did recommend that I use the contact adhesive and not the spray version as I'm going to take a while to lay the new one.
