Hey langarm, with your referral to "cameltoe" (kameelpoot) in the earlier post today which was removed by.............(?????), are you perhaps one and the same who has been banned by the owner of this site several times.....?

If you wish to rock the boat, come on board like us normal Joe Fishermen and make your point like a man boet.
By the way, with that gmail address you used, who do you think you are fooling? That thing can get hacked very easily to identify you and many okes have seen their ##### trying stuff like that on social media and e-mails to ridicule those whom they are too scared to confront upfront!

Riprap Wrote:Oldtimer, with respect good sir, what is it exactly that you are trying to say in terms of freedom of speech and expression?? This site is not restricted to SA.

I know that in South Africa we tend to try and stop the press from saying things that we do not like or want to hear. You yourself say that this site is not restricted to S.A. then the more we should not allow ourselves to this type of restrictions. I do agree that there is something’s that is grossly offensive (pictures, language etc.) and should not be allowed on sites but to sensor posts because you do not agree with the message does not go well in a world where it is seen as a sign of being civilized. The more you sensor the more the users of this site will see you in the same light as the current S.A. Government and having seen this site as one of the better sites I have ever visited I do not want to see it go the same way as other sites in S.A. where too much censoring has seen just about no more activity on that site. The users that was there got fed up with this type of dictator rule and slowly but surely they have stopped contributing. What I am saying is that for you to run a successful site you will have to stand up to bad remarks and criticism from time to time before deleting it and creating a bad impression.

My 10c

A valuable contribution indeed and thanks.
Firstly, I did not censor langarm's post. Perhaps I had the misfortune of getting a glimpse of it earlier today and a couple of hours later I noticed that it had been edited. Did you see you it?

What I saw cannot be compared to our existing Government's public rebuttal as they do this in the public domain (as per the hard fought for Constitution) and not hiding behind a publicly announced TEMP ID just to get questions and perhaps, I suspect, entice more antagonism towards the youngster in question!

In my personal opinion, this user hid behind his mother's skirt in an effort to cause k#k on the site when this topic has almost been discussed to exhaustion.
I do not agree that this site, the best if I may I add and just look if you don't believe me, discourages good, honest and open debate over subjects that get the blood boiling. There is way too much sharing that happens here for such negativity to creep in. Unfortunately, this negativity tends to creep in from time to time and since we all know that it take all kinds of people to make up a world (and spammers.......), this requires mods, admin and even the owners to step in and nip such nonsense in the bud BEFORE we tarnish the reputation of the best bass fishing forum.....

Rant over, lekka aand.

Yes. This will be my 1st time on this body of water and the hosting province (Boland) has made a lot of promises on all the fish (species) that is available. They even mentioned all 3 species of bass. If anyone is willing to share some info on where what species is available and on what lures I will appreciate. I do not want to catch all the Grandma's and biggest ones, I only need a legal size to be able to weigh.

You can send me a message or send a Please call me to zero 83 35seven 45zero5 and I will return your call.

Thank You

Langarm hides behind a keyboard. Very manly of you boet. Strange that you register as soon as kameelfart was removed?

As for the rest of this topic and people's views on what happened... it has been dealt with, I think in a fair way.

This forum is also a place for people to discuss, share and enjoy the sport of bass fishing and anything that goes with it. Everyone knows the rules and if they don't they should read them. I know there are people who probably think I am a dick, but they have never met me, bothered to discuss things with me or send me there opinions, which is fine. I can live with it. I can't keep everyone happy all the time and I or the admin will squash stuff and sweep it under the carpet if we feel we need to. BFSA is not about me or anyone other one individual. It is about the South African Bass Fishing Community and I intend on keeping it that way till the day I die.

Once you have run and administered a forum for 10 years and dealt with everything that goes with you may understand why I or the admin are asked to do what they do. This is not an easy job and I ask that the members all keep in mind what the bigger picture is here on BFSA. The community and how we Share and Care is what it is about... remember, everyone here is passionate about the sport so being easily offended by someone else opinion is going to happen. We can't all get along all the time, so next time someone reads something that they don't like, think about it... do you know the person who wrote it? Does it affect your life? And is it worth getting into a mud slinging match over it? Did you even read it correctly? Emotions and keyboards do actually not mix very well.....
