Float tube or inflatable boat

Morning,

Im having a bit of a confusing start to my summer. I fish from the bank and have never even touched a bass boat so im thinking of getting a float tube or small inflatable.
Iv got a small seahawk 350 but im not sure if I get the adapter for the mortor that it will still float after i put a motor on it.

I was thinking of a float tube but what all do i need?
Any idea's?

Hey Fuzzy,
I'm in a similar predicament. I've got a float tube (the old round tractor-tyre one) and I love fishing from it. Problem is that it's a bit of a mission getting in and out on steep banks and if the wind comes up things feel a bit tricky. I've thought about getting one of those small portable fish-finders but then I saw the articles in Bass SA by Martin Engelke. His inflatable looks real nice and I'm toying with the idea of getting one (for the kids - you know!)

I must be honest, I'd go for a propper boat if I had the cash, but hey, maybe one day when I'm big. Keep us posted...

I used to have one of those as well but it got damaged to i tried to get the boat,
I drive a small car so i wont be able to pull a boat. they also pricey!

Hi Fuzzy.
Have a look at the Tug10 or even 20 from Outdoor Marine. There are a few around and you can get a second hand one. They are relatively inexpensive and any car on the market will pull a Tug 10 without a problem. You don't even need a 5Hp motor. A sneaker motor alone will be fine. Either that, or get a kick boat with a decent platform that you can fit a sneaker to.

I'm the proud owner of a small tug10 look alike boat.. and pulling it with my rusty 1400Nissan is not a problem at all.. I have modify it a bit to fit my needs, but it was cheap and very useful

I have a Minn-kota endure 30 on the nose that?s way...way over powered.. lol windup I?m almost sailing in the lowers power setting. And a 15Hp on the back.. Well it was the biggest short shaft motor I could fined But its really not needed.. And I enjoy the fact that me and my wife can both standup and fish..

But I looked at those little aluminum boats. those would be great with just a single 40pd sneaker.. you'll find once you have a little boat you can stand and fish on, it will be a min requirement of every floating thing you take to fishing from
