Need a new Fish Finder Lowrance or Garmin?

Hi All, 

Looking at fish finders at the moment and have whittled my options down to the 2 below.


- Garmin ECHOMAP™ Plus 92sv - with GT52HW-TM Transducer
- Lowrance ELITE 9 TI² (3-IN-1 ACTIVE IMAGING) with 3-in-1 Transducer

Pricing wise they are similar and feature wise they are similar.

Any guidance on which one is better taking into consideration image quality, feature quality(i.e which one has better side scan or better down scan imaging) and MAPPING ''quality and options''

Any guidance and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for responding. The Elite Ti is the TI2 that i am looking at - the new one. This one https://lowrance.co.za/product/elite-12-ti-5/

This will be the main fish finder on the front deck by trolling motor.

Been using the abrgrg handle for years - bit of name and surname in there...
