the dealer you bought your boat from should supply you with one, your boat is full of foam , being a triton.

There seems to be a lot of controdiction about this buoyancy and fitness certificates - does anyone know exactly when this must be in place??

Good question PDV, it's grazy! Buoyancy Cerificate vs COF and who may isue the buoyancy cerificate and who are authorised to do the COF's. It range from boat manufactures to dealers to suppliers to clubs and the one tell you the other is not authorised.

Then there is the skippers, I have been told that their is still no CETA approved and accredited exam available that meets SAQA requirements as per the regulations. The old none approved exam is valid but you had to do it before a cut off time way back last year. :blue-rolleyes:

Norkie, a number of us have done the Skippers down here in the Cape and received the "ticket"... so that seems ok.

The thing is this bloody buoyancy k@k.... some of these bass boats just cannot take 500 liters of foam... now they say you have to have a separate compartment for batteries... some say just put the batteries in a black box.... who the hell do you believe..... !!!!
