Hi all!
Firstly, is there anyone who fishes Limpopo BETT from BFSA?
Someone has to do a report back, it might as well be me.
We launched at 7 and headed straight for the cliffs fishing deep diving cranks and jigs. After about 2 hours nothing happened, so we decided to move to the opposite bank which was approx. 15 feet. We found some isolated reeds on the rocks and targeted them with plastics, more specifically, with a UVibe Ultra Speed Worm. The colour was green pumpkin, rigged with a light Mojo. First cast produced a 1kg fish and we filled the rest of our bag within 200m from that spot. Water temperature was between 14.2 and 14.8 degrees C, warming up in the afternoon to 15.3 deg C. Having filled our bag by 11 o' clock, that was all we stuck to all day. We tried to upgrade our bag, but to no avail.
The dam is one of the most picturesque dams I have ever fished.

I have been fishing competitions for 3 years now. The first year I never even weighed in even one fish. The second year, here and there, one or two. In my third year I finally got a podium place. It was joint first with Wack & Stack, but to me a win was a win. The bag was 5.465kg which I thought was pretty awesome for my second time on the dam.

I went through for an afternoon & morning fishing during the week before but the wind was pumping. Only fished social my wife & myself.

Only managed to get 3 fish in the 1kg range. Water temp was 12.6 - 13.2. Normally a good dam to catch but it was quite cold.

I am good friends with alexis and allan from "wack and stack", they have a lekka season.

Lex and Alan having a steady season i think they first now , next month last comp R D W then its finals at Nandoni. SG what is your team name would like to meet the people of BFSA and put a face to a name.Shot Hawkeye its really lekka

Hey Boet! Well done on the win, that is awesome! Shows you how percistance pays off.

There are a few people from the site who fish the BETT but find feedback is not always great... suppose that is the preasure of fishing in a big comp. The money trail guys won't try that sh.. here :blue-lol: I may have to start pulling rank!! :blue-lol:
