Hi Can any up there give me some advise on where to stay in jhb close to Gold reef city . the trade show is up there in august .
the last time I found the most beautiful place on the web and took my wife with for the week end , it advertised a river in the garden beautiful lawns and lovely rooms . well we got there late at night the place was a dive no grass on the lawn two big dogs that barked all night a room that you could not move in all the bedding had cigarette burns every where no river to be seen . and we had to flush the toilets with buckets all for only R500 pppn .
so i dont trust what i see on the web any more.

The only problem with "close to Gold Reef City" means you are in the dumps, as you can vouch.
If we can help I will ask my wife who is in the travelling business to have a lookout for you, that is if you dont come right.

We normally stay at Castle B&B - near east rand mall always found them a comfortable place to stay.

Places nearby - BOMA (nice food), near airport and highways. It is about 26km from Jhb centre, laundromat, spar, petrol station.

Look up castle B&B on google.

Why don't you stay at Gold reef city , I think they are running specails

Hi Lionel - conducted a seminar at a brilliant spot ( conference centre) on Friday last week - exquisite thatch and wooden resort - has water, has a dam , has ducks , toilets flush, food is good- feel like you are really in the country but is in fact in Midrand, not far at all from where you need to go. Resorts name is Thula Manzi - am sure they have a web address but if not , or if u need more help give me a ring on 082 891 1157 - can vouch for it as some of our staff stay there on overnight visits to Gauties
