I have finally got a free weekend this coming weekend and thought I would give Renosterkop a try.

I have never fished for bass at this time of the year and will have to teach myself to fish real slow.

Anyone been there in the last fortnight ,any tips. I would hate to drag the boat all the wat there only to come back with no score.

I haven't fished there but just remember you might still get active autumn fish so don't be scared to throw reaction baits every now and then.

I have been there a week ago !!! The dam is very low the island behind the hump is out of the water buy about a 500mm so be care full !!! I fished all over the dam but the river section is still the best .

Spinnerbaits,spinnerbaits and more spinnerbaits. Use the 'Drop dead Fred" in 12-16 ft of water. Fish will take it on the drop as it is the only spinnerbait that flutters on the way down.

I went past Mias in Woodmead and asked about it and they looked at me as though I was from another planet. Checked through the range they had and could not find it.

Thanks Roy, guys Mias Randburg had some a while ago, just check out do not phone, the guys are not that clued up.
I actually developed this spinnerbait and made a few for some BFSA members,then sent one over to the States so they could make me the correct blade type and weight. The next thing I saw was the Hildebrand drop dead fred, named after Fred Rambo.... the pro.

CrankbaitCarl, this is what happened to a bloke in the US, he developed a swimbait and the next moment Berkley released the sick fish swimbait developed by Mr Skeet Reese. I think it's sick and that is where the name came from. I just can't remember the blokes name and the original name of the swimbait. I was a very big fan of Skeet but since then I think nothing of the man and the brand he is standing for. I like berkley baits and allways will use them but that left a taste I don't like.
Like anything else you can't trust the Yanks.
