Well this is my 500th post in the forums on the website and I think it?s appropriate to say a very big thank you to all your guys out there that have been so free with the information you give? there are the special members who are always there for others and who actually make the web site what it is? and then to the man who started it all? our very own Bassmaster? a huge thank you for setting up such a marvellous resource and running it like no other web site I have seen before and I?ve been around the internet since it started in SA? really great job done!

And to the makers of Yumdingers? a big thank you because 98% of all my fish have been caught on these awesome wormies? and this Saturday the Yumdinger tackle box will remain closed for 60 minutes while I try all the cranks, spinners and buzz baits that I?ve had on my boat just for show. Having seen 3 decent fish come on board my boat last Saturday I now want some quality and not quantity. I have a plan and 3 spots and will stick to it for at least 60 minutes? if it works then great? if not then the box of Yummies will be opened.

Once again thanks to all of you for making this web site almost as addictive as bass fishing itself!

There are a few key people that make this site what it is, and your in depth posts and passion for the little green fish is awesome, so thanks to you for being one of the chaps who help keep us entertained.
I also see that Pomerob hit 700 posts, so to him well done. VX and Robdog same goes for you, but I suspect you'll have Rob Fisher hot on your heels very shortly. :wink:

It has also been very rewarding for me to watch you on the site and see how you have progressed from ?Telescopic Rod? days to now! You seem to have really leant a lot from not only this site but by getting out there and fishing. There is no amount of text you can read that will make you catch more fish, being on the water and trying will?

I have come a long way? and that?s thanks to a very large degree because of this web site that has helped fuel the addiction and gets me onto the dam more in search of the elusive Lunker!

Funny you mention the telescopic rod BM? I had forgotten about that? I bought that rod in Mauritius for a couple of rupees? it served its purpose but now I just love my Crucial?s!

Another milestone for me today? I introduced another fisherman to bass today and took one of my tenants down to the local tackle shop to stock up with bass fishing goodies so he can take his sons fishing at Shongweni these holidays! Another one one bites the dust!

Well done Rob, 500 posts is a feat in itself. The relative short time you have been bassing errr koiing you have come along in leaps and bounds, anyone can fish only a few have the passion you do. Keep it up and in no time I am sure we will be reading about king dinger in a lot of comp results.

Drew I am trying to get as many bf.co.za members as possiable down to kzn to fish together and meet each other at Albert Falls and Inanda.

Pomerob you biscuit. I have read the string of replies and would like to inform you that the Sunday at Alberts is most likely going to be a SA Bass cast for cash. There are normally 20 or so boats in a big turnout, 14 on average. If the guys are keen to enter then we leave it as is. HOWEVER, I know the organiser of the KZN Cast for Cash so if we want that date moved out a week I MAY be able to arrange that.
For all those that are going, let's vote, to Cast for Cash or not? I will certainly be at Alberts and will either sleep on the farm or in the back of my truck. Inanda is probably a no no. I have to much work at the moment.

....another possible bonus is that generally speaking, the Durban guys fish Inanda and the Maritzburg guys fish Alberts. The weekend before is the Midmar Classic so there could be many a husband instructed to push the lawnmower instead of his boat on the weekend of this trip you have arranged so the dams could be quiet. I'm looking forward to this gathering.

Congrats Rob, always find your forums and updates most interesting, and always something to look forward to. Waiting for your reviews is like waiting for the Sunday paper to be delivered...well done on the big 50(0). You are definately a keeper!
